The SMC in July 2019 renewed its Master Agreement for another five years, continuing the SMC’s research and monitoring agenda through the end of the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
The Master Agreement brings together 16 stormwater management agencies spanning the regulated and regulatory sectors. They work collaboratively to develop and fund research that addresses pressing regional stormwater management needs.
A key strength of this Master Agreement is that it allows SMC member agencies to participate in and fund the projects of their choosing; every project is voluntary, meaning SMC member agencies must see value in every project they fund.
SMC research projects are fundamentally tied to solving management challenges, not just to meeting regulatory compliance requirements.
